Students from various countries come to out Institute on a practical training exchange programme through international organization IAESTE.
Here you can read about the impressions of the the students who have recently spent some time in our Institute.

"My name is Agata and I come from Poland. In June 2009 I graduated Electronic and Telecommunication engineering from Poznan University of Technology. Thanks to the IAESTE organization, I was able to come to Serbia on a student internship. I had my training at the Institute Mihailo Pupin in the telecommunications department. When I came to work for the first time I met my supervisor Mirjana Stojilovic. She helped me a lot and in the beginning she introduced me to the other workers. Most of them were in my age and they were all really nice. For the whole 6 weeks we met every day at lunch. They told me a lot about Serbia and thanks to them, I knew what places were worth visiting.
Mirjana was responsible for my work at the Institute. I had to prepare applications in Matlab. I was not familiar with Matlab in the beginning, so I had to start by learning the basics about the program. Any time I prepared something I could send it to her. She would check it and tell me what was good, what should I correct, etc. Thanks to that, after my 6 weeks of training I can work with Matlab. I’m very proud of it, because it is not an easy environment.
Institute Mihailo Pupin is a company of people satisfied about their jobs. Here everybody is smiling all the time. Employees are laughing, working and I did not see anybody who looked tired or burnt-out by the work. This is a company that believes that happy workers are the most efficient. I am really happy that I could come here and it was great experience. "

"My name is Magnus Berg and I spent 3 months working at the Telecommunications department in Institute Mihailo Pupin. I've had a really nice time there and I gained a lot of practical work experience during the period I worked there.
The work I did here was mainly testing a new version of a network simulator program that maybe they'll start using later. and leave my impressions and notes on how to use it behind so that - hopefully - the transition from the old version to the quite different new version will be smoother for them.
What I have noticed and appreciated at IMP is how open and welcoming they were for new ideas. I was supposed to work with the older version of the simulator, but I suggested that I could try out the new one if they thought it would be of any use for them. Not only did they like that idea, they encouraged me to do it and also gave me the freedom to choose myself how to test the simulator.
They were also very persistent that I also should have fun during my stay in Belgrade, so there was no problem for me to get a day or more off work to go out and experience Belgrade or any other place I wanted to go. This a very nice for me since I had made a lot of friends from all over the world during my stay here, and it gave me the opportunity to go on trips with them if I wanted to do.
All in all I had some really nice months in IMP, and I will never forget the summer/fall I spent there. Therefore I want to give my warmest thanks to IMP, Belgrade and Serbia for this experience that I'm sure will be very valuable for me in the future. And of course I want to thank my friends and colleges for making every single day at work a very nice experience!
Hvala lepo! See you all the next time I'm in Belgrade!"

"A peaceful and beautiful place, that’s the first impression that anyone has got when he sees the Institute Mihailo Pupin (IMP) and the beautiful nature where it is situated for the first time. However, the amazing thing is not only that, but also the impression I had when I entered in the Institute and realized that even inside I can experience the same good feelings that I had outside. In my opinion, this is one of the fundamental things which made the IMP to be the great company for me. In the IMP I worked for three months.
First of all, as a foreign, I can say that IMP-Telecommunications (IMP-T) is an extraordinary company to develop a good work mainly because of its responsive and hard-working employees. In those three months, I have always been treated as a part of the team, which helped me a lot to develop a fantastic work. Secondly, as a student of electrical engineering, I must admit that IMP-T has got everything to grow up more and more and to become one of the more respectable companies in its area.
I’m really thankful for everyone in IMP-T, place where I spent three wonderful months working, especially for my tutor Ms Mirjana Stojilovic who assisted me a lot in expanding my knowledge. I’ll never forget how Serbians can be nice, friendly and welcoming.
At last but not least, I am glad because I am going back home with two countries inside my heart: Serbia and Brazil!
“Hvala lepo”,
